PROJECT BREAKDOWN : THE FORD

"The Fords" is a piece that I have just recently completed using Houdini's Karma and Redshift. It was inspired by my roots growing up in the Midwest, and features a herd of stallions crossing a river ford on the property of a rancher. This piece features my journey in learning water simulations using Houdini's Flip.

I used reference from 

I spent a majority of my time refining the water and white-water sims, as it was important for me to get the shapes right. I ended up getting the result I wanted by combining a white water simulation and a spray simulation using pop's emitted from the original surface to better art direct the shot.
